A worldwide multi-award-winner, Litos marked an important milestone in the roll-to-roll label printing industry.
This
project
led
us
to
realise,
for
the
first
time,
a
self-adhesive
label
consisting
of
three
labels
glued
one
on
top
of
the
other
through
automated
production.
In
addition
to
the
technological
innovation
developed
in
collaboration
with
our
partner
Rotas,
Litos
also
represents
a
breakthrough
in
the
way
we
create
communication
for
the
wine
industry.
For
the
first
time,
attention
was
paid
to
the
concept
of
BIODIVERSITY
through
the
choice
of
a
conceptual
language
represented
by
different
and
overlapping
papers.
In the specific case of Litos, the aim was to simulate the natural stratification of the subsoil from which Valentina Passalacqua’s vineyards originate. The resulting wine is completely natural and preserves the mineral characteristics of the subsoil. Thanks to the development of this project today, 10 years after its invention the technique of overlapping different papers and materials has entered the technological and design routine of label design and printing.
